Welcome to my practice. I specialize in treating depression and anxiety disorders in adults and older teens. I also provide therapeutic services for couples with relationship or marital difficulties, and for individuals dealing with the hardship of divorce. I’m experienced in working with emotional trauma, loss, abuse, illness, and bereavement. Many clients come who are healing from addictions and unhealthy relationships.

I also see clients who seek to improve their self-esteem and overall assertiveness and sense of direction in life. Therapy is additionally helpful for coming to terms with a difficult past and working to move forward in an empowered way. Many clients come for support and clarity with future goals, both personal and professional. Therapy can often be a place to deepen one’s sense of connection with oneself, or with one’s own spirituality and life purpose.

My style is generally calm, practical, and attentive; part deep intuitive listening and part interactive conversation. I strive to welcome your whole self, your strengths and your weaknesses, and to support and deepen your personal growth beyond where you may be feeling stuck, hurt, or confused. The focus will always be on your optimal health, and on the goals you would like to achieve in therapy.

My education and training has included a number of effective, depth-oriented, therapeutic psychologies. These methods serve to open a vital and transformative inquiry into your life regarding the health of your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships.

    These methods include:

    • Psychodynamic
    • Developmental
    • Family Systems
    • Existential Phenomenological
    • Cognitive Therapy
    • Mindfulness Meditation
    • Transpersonal/Eastern Psychology
    • Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy

I’ve had over twenty-five years experience as a psychotherapist and twenty-five years practicing the discipline of Mindfulness Meditation. My clinical work and my personal focus on insight and awareness both inform and guide me to support your natural healing. Together we’ll ask the right questions and make way for you to find more balance, peace, and well-being in your life.
